What can heat damage do to a mobile phone???

Am manager of phone shop had customer come in with what looked like water damage though claimed never left his glove box. though there was a considerable amount of condensation around the screen also screen was busted. could the heat in the glove box


I've had a cell ages ago that had heat damage done to it. From what I saw, it was just the battery having a MUCH shorter life, even when fully charged. I don't know how the screen was broken with just heat damage though.
