The unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone ensured that Nokia ended 2011 on a high. But while the Nokia/Microsoft partnership was stealing headlines, Nokia has also been busy securing the services of audio experts Monster to produce new headsets, one of which we’ve been lucky enough to get hold of.
Check out the Nokia Purity by Monster tech specs
The Nokia Purity Monster Stereo Headset claims to reproduce clear sound that is “rich” and “dynamic” without the distortion you get with some headphones. Monster promises “clear mids and crisp highs” aided by sound isolating tips.
We’ll be the judge of that once our ears get to grips with the Nokia Purity Headset. First impressions are pretty good, but more on that in our full review.
In the box you get the headset, a hard shell carrying case, five sizes of eartips and a Nokia AV adaptor, with Monster and Nokia branding. Each accessory is well made. The case itself doesn’t feel hard, but feels durable enough to withstand knocks. A flat style tangle-free cable also means you’ll spend less time taking out knots, and more time listening to your music.
