CTP launches drive for safe driving

RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police Rawalpindi have launched a special drive under which the violators of traffic rules on city roads particularly those who are not using seat belts and use mobile phone while driving would be fined and issued challan slips.
Under the drive, city traffic police would take strict action in accordance with the law against those not using seat belts and special checking would be conducted in this regard. The drive has been launched aimed at ensuring safe driving on the city roads and to make the journey more safe and secure.
City Traffic Officer (CTO) Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Ghulam Abbas Tarar informed that special campaigns were launched in the past by the traffic police to educate road users especially motorists about observooe of ty8s.nles which are for their own safety.
He asked the drivers to follow traffic rules which make the journey on roads more safe and secure. He said surveys revealed that most of the traffic accidents
