I have a unlocked HTC Legend mobile phone.?

I have a unlocked HTC Legend mobile phone. If i do a hard reset will it take away the phones ability to use any sim card? The phone is currently unlocked but if i do a hard reset will the phone become locked again to its default brand of Vodafone?
