Tango Opens Windows Mobile to Get Video Chat Moving
23.02.12
Video chat on Windows mobile devices just got easier with the addition of a free Tango app to the Windows Phone Marketplace. Tango, a cross-platform video chat program that works on PCs and mobile devices like iPhones and Android smartphones, has been a no-show on Windows phones for the better part of the last year. It is now available to anyone with a Windows phone running the Mango 7.5 update.
Twenty-Four Million to Tango
A start-up video chat app, Tango has been winning over mobile phone and PC users thanks to a simple interface and the ability to work cross-platform. Any two devices that have Tango can communicate, and according to Mobile Beat , the service already has 24 million users. Part of the appeal for those video chatting over Tango is its reliable release cycle; every two weeks, a new version is pushed out for all the devices that Tango supports. The Windows phone version of the app features a clean and streamlined interface and will automatically filter out any contacts (regardless of their device) who do not have Tango installed.
