Hine's kids are 7, 9 and 12 years old. With the older ones, she already keeps track of them via cell phone and plans to on Halloween.
"We have Family Locator on our kids' cell phones, so we can always find where the kids are at and know their location," Hine said.
The trend to track kids via cell phones is catching on. There are several applications for smart phones available.

GPS trackers for kids are certainly not for everybody, as some people are more content to just keep kids together or with adults.
"I think I'd consider it, although my 13 and 11 year old, I feel fine with. My six year old, I wouldn't even trust him with a phone, I would make sure he was with them or me," parent Julie Ribbens said.
