Motorola Droid Razr, iPhone 4S (unlocked) now available in US
21.05.12
The new Motorola Droid Razr features Verizon’s LTE or Long Term Evolution technology, so you can get at least 10 to 20Mbps download speed, technically faster than the regular 3G/HSPA+ speeds. The new Droid Razr is also the thinnest Android smartphone yet, only 7.1mm thick.
The Motorola Droid Razr is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The new phone features a 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960) Super AMOLED screen with 256 ppi. The Droid Razr is equipped with an 8-megapixel digital back camera and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat. The Motorola Droid Razr is pre-installed with the Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 but according to Motorola Mobility, its new device will receive the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update “early next year.”
Verizon Wireless is giving away a free 16GB MicroSD card (pre-installed), in addition to the phone’s 16GB on board storage.
Meanwhile, Apple is competing against the Motorola Droid Razr today with the launch of the unlocked iPhone 4S in USA. Apparently, the unlocked iPhone 4S doesn’t require a contract, but it is more expensive than the variants offered by wireless carriers.
